Such as ... TD06h-20G

I just blow one on friday night.
first time I hear little noise like intercooler hose leak when boost come on 1.0bar
second time I feel power drop off around 7,000RPM with noise same the first time
last time I hear something wrong sound like a intercooler hose broke then boost fall off from 1.2 to 0.5 and I saw smoke once came from muffler.
I'll post pics. later camera not here.
yesterday morning (saturday) I take this turbo out, the turbine shaft broke to 3pcs. compressor and turbine wheels gone.
now I put 8GSR turbo with old 9 housing (10.5) for temporary used.
the next turbo may be GReddy Kit TD06-25G 10cm or Powerenterprise RX-6R kit.
my friend EVO9 with same turbo ran with 1.5bar boost every day for a while, but not have problem.

the Evo 9 turbo with the mag compressor should read
TD05HRA-16G6mC-10.5T
there's 2 versions of the mag turbo now .. the 1st gen version that has be known to fail .. and the newer gen version ..
The failure mode was not attributed to high boost.. it was more like material failure .. the 2nd gen turbo was supposed to address this ..
Both the RS and the GT has the same turbo (ie Mag Ti turbo .. identified by the golden color compressor wheels )

Does anyone have compressor airflow maps for the following...
OEM Evo 9 - TD05HRA-16G6C-10.5T
Forced Performance EvoGREEN (aka Buschur 20G-9 LT) ?
FP lists the EvoGREEN compressor Wheel @ 47 lb/min.
Any data for the OEM Evo 9 - TD05HRA-16G6C-10.5T ?
Is there a conversion factor/formula for lb/min to c.f.m. ?
Or is there another way to accurately compare the two rates?
Thanks

hey there. just stumbled accross this thread and im finding it pretty usefull.
i was wondering if anyone has any info on the standard t3/t4 turbo and its variations.
this would be a great add on for this info if someone could provide info on other common turbos and upgrade options.
thanks,
chris

14.47 CFM = ~1lb/min.
Ergo, the 600 or so CFM the Evo 8 turbo produces is roughly equivalent to 41.47 lbs/min. However, the conversion is NOT exact. It's just good enough to be useful in most circumstances.

I have got a few questions about the (JDM)E9 turbo's.
RS and GT use the TD05HRA-16G6mC-10.5 with the titanium turbine and the mag. compr.wheel.
GSR use the TD05HR-16G6C-10.5 with iconel turbine and alu wheel.
MR use the TD05HRA-16G6C-10.5 with titanium turbine and alu wheel.
The titanium turbine with the mag. wheel should spool up 500rpm sooner then the iconel one.
But how about the titanium turbine with the alu wheel, does it also spool up 500rpm sooner then the normal one, or does the benefit from the mag. wheel comes into play?
I want to know this because of the report of broken mag.wheels.
How do you know if you buy a MK1 or MK2(with the mag.wheel that does not brake down)??
Is there anybody who has got a flowmap for this turbine. In this thread they posted a flowmap for a TD05HR-16G6 but it may be very different form the TD05HRA-16G6mC. They say surge is much better, but how much better...
The first could be used with a PR of 3, but can the second one also do this?
Regards,
Sander
