Great info!!!!! Makes me a little worried now though, if I recall right I believe the e9 turbo I purchased may be a a RS one... :-( I'm planning on running around 30psi on e85 on it over the summer

from what ive been told the tme turbos only the rs came with the ti-al turbine and for some gsrs it was optional. HOw does one find out whether their tme gsr turbo has the ti-al tubine or not?

Just check the model # stamped on your turbo... Page 1 has the E6 TME info...

This is from my original document...

And these are the Part #s for each turbo...

BOTH model turbos had the SAME SIZE (10.5) titanium alloy turbine wheel. The marketing hype about "250 rpm quicker spool" only refers to the smaller TD05RA-15GK2-10.5T "standard" GSR turbo with the smaller compressor wheel... Less weight = Faster spool.

The bigger TD05HRA-16G6-10.5T which was "optional" for GSRs... and "standard" for RS/RS2s did NOT spool 250 rpm lower, since they had the bigger compressor wheel... More weight = Slower spool.

My Evo6 RS2 has the TD05HRA-16G6-10.5T. Guestimates of 150-to-250 rpm "lower spool" have been thrown around but so far, I have never seen TESTED "spool rpm" data for the bigger turbo anywhere.

bump i didn't catch the flow rate of the TD05HRA-16G6C-10.5T (stock 9) - is it 600cfm/roughly 41-42 lb/min?

I've read conflicting info stating 44 lb./min also... hence the "?" on my original table... (nix = Sanctifier on Zorce.com)
Quote: E9 TD05HRA-16G6C..41 (44?) lb./min.

IMHO the more conservative reading of 41 lb./min. seems more realistic.
