2.0L or 2.3L for street / strip with 109 unleaded

Hello folks, I started this thread because I did not want to hijack someone else's.
First of all, I am currently running an ATP 3071R Turbo kit with the usual suspects, except for cams and cam gears. I plan on doing a complete engine build very soon - headwork, rods, pistons, crank, cams, e.t.c. I'm doing so to make more power. My goal is to make 500 whp - no nitrous, no alcohol / methanol. Just the turbo with race gas, and it must be unleaded. It must be fully streetable (not laggy) and be able to pass emissions. It must also have a decent amount of torque. I don't want to have to rev it up like a Honda S2000 to make power. I want to be able to run it "stop light to stop light" and still be able to take it to the drag strip. I don't mind using race gas as long as it is unleaded. I currently use 109 (oxygynated) unleaded with my hi-flo cats. I don't use C116 and don't plan to do so, unless there is an "unleaded" version.

Here is my dilemma. Based on the parameters I have just mentioned:

1) Can I achieve my goals with a built-up "2.0L" or would I need to stroke the motor to a "2.3L". I have heard negative comments about stroking the motor, number one being durability, and engine smoothness.
2) If I stayed with a 2.0L, what size turbo should I use?

Is anyone running a thorougly built "2.0L" setup with an after market turbo kit? I would like to see your dyno graphs - horsepower, torque, boost, and turbo spooling characteristics.

Thanks for your help.

Did you do a stroker kit or did you do a complete engine rebuild - stroker short block?

Just a stroker kit, pistons, rods, crank and the bearings, also did the oil pump.

Based off what you've said, I'd say the 2.3 is going to be the better solution. The added displacement will help with low end power and help spool the turbo faster.

There are plus's and minus's for both kits. There is lots of info about this, just take a few hours to search around.

I put it together myself, and it cost way cheaper than any packaged kit a vendor will sell you, the trick is finiding a cheap 4g64 crank. I make peak tq almost 1500 rpms sooner now, and sorry another 50 ft lbs of tq not 60.
