cams and head gaskets

Not to mention that it's so easy to do this job on the EVO going through it at 60k is hardly a setback. I think I did the last tbelt swap on my EVO in under an hour from jack up to jack down. MUCH easier than DSMs, FWIW.

just remove the valve cover, unbolt the cams and the sensor, stick em in , adjust, torque everything back to spec and stick the valve cover back on.
as fasr as head studs just reach down and unscrew the stock ones with an allen wrench and stick the new ones in. no need for a long drawn out head removal.
don't take the head off and leave your head gasket alone. the stock one is fine. AMS uses the stock head gasket on their 8 second evo. the rest is a waste. unless your head gasket is actually blown then just leave it alone. i repeat, leave it alone

There are a few things you will have to decide for yourself.
1. When installing the cams, are you going to bleed your lifters?
2. Do you really think head studs are needed in a cammed evo?
3. If you do feel studs are needed are you going to do the job the right way or use the one by one method of swapping them.
I won't get involved in telling you what to do or not do. I will tell you that I have a cammed EVO that has been running like a top for 30k miles. I do not have studs and I didn't bleed my lifters. I go with the "if its not broke don't fix it" approach. Others tend to feel a fairly cheap safety net isn't such a bad thing to have. This will be entirely up to you.

1. I'm paying someone to do it and with the reading I've done on evom I'm going to ask it to be done. I don't want to take the chance of the lifters ticking.
2. As far as head studs go I thought it was a question of boost pressure not if you run cams or not. I won't be exceeding 22psi so I don't see the need.
3. N/A see #2.
