2.4 blown head gasket question

I currently blew my head gasket on my 2.4 due to over boosting I was wondering if I need to get my head resurfaced before i put new head gasket on? I'm currently running h11 studs. Thanks for input.

If you didn't resurface the head the first time, you definitely should this time.

How about you pull the head and check/ gauge for flatness ? It doesn't matter if you did it the first, second or third. You have to check each time, or have a machine shop measure the variance. If its flat and within spec, you can go ahead. Sometimes you can get away a couple times and still be within spec for flatness.

for a blown head gasket i agree with bekevo... normal use and you pull things apart for whatever reason... definitely not necessary on a cast iron block... the head is a different story... if you lay it on a washer that you didnt notice and it sat like that for a 1hr day week doesnt matter.. check it...

If I was you I would check the deck make sure she's straight and your might as well do a quick refresh on the head just incase.
