Alright....

Done a search, seen a few here and there posts on each... Now looking for opinions.

Specs seem almost all identical on all 3 Race Core FMIC's except AMS uses 3" piping instead, but then you need to go with their IM to have it bolt up. In the future I am looking at their IM but not sure if for the price their core is truly worth the price when Buschur has put down around the same horsepower with there slightly smaller piping but roughly same sized core.

It seems like with the pricing and such AMS is in a league of their own but from what I have seen the core really isn't THAT much better for the price.

Anyone have any views on which I should go with and such.

AND DO NOT TURN THIS INTO A VENDOR BASHING, I run both AMS and buschur parts on my car.

What kind of upper and lower intercooler piping are you using? That's the intercooler I would go with so you know they'll match up.

 

I would go with whichever is cheapest. Barring that endtank designs are all similar (I am assuming) if the core sizes are all very close they will most likely all perform very similarly. Also, why a Race size IC, unless your running a 37R or bigger I would say its a waste of cash over the other options.

I really like the AMS piece.. it has the clamps that prevent the piping from coming off. I have the BR deluxe now but if I was to upgrade I'd go with the AMS IC.

 

HKS Type-R

 

What makes you choose the HKS Type R?

I have AMS's standard Upper IC Piping, and their lower from their turbokit custom fit for my Buschur Deluxe.

That performs like the AMS core and Buschur Deluxe not their race cores. I own buschurs deluxe right now.

 

What turbo are you going to be running, and why are you set on a race core?
