Strange (possible) leak from t-case..
I just installed a new tre t-case & transmisison 2 weeks ago. Changed all the fluids today. Transmission was fine. T-case leaked a small amount of fluid from where the driveshaft connects to it. (the shaft that goes to the rear diff) I figured it was just over filled. When i drained it today some fluid came out but it did not seem like enough to me.
As far as I know there are no seals back there, so what is going on?
Side note: There are no bad sounds comming from the tcase (ralliart lsd) and everything has driven fine. No highway miles yet - all around town breakin.

Yeah thought about that already - tre had it labeled and I tripple checked to be sure that o-ring was there.

honestly, I've never looked at the back of our t-case where they mate to the driveshaft, but how can you not have a seal there? Something has to seal around the shaft that exits the t-case, no?

There is a seal that is housed at the rear end of the transfer case. This is where the yoke of the driveshaftenters the TC. It will leak if it fails. We just replaced one last week and it cured our leak issue. Good luck and the seal is about $5 from mitsubishi.

Also dont forget about the large black o-ring that goes between the TC and tranny where they mate. If its not replaced, or gets twisted or crimped you are gauranteed to have a leak there too.

That sounds more like my issue. If it leaks again I will check that.
Have any part numbers / how to? Or is it just a simple o-ring type deal?
