The settings I provided you with were the DSM Coil Settings, the reason I posted them becuase if you look the base cal for the DSM it has different settings than the wizard (MIN Tooth I believe). This could of changed depending on the install of software that you have so I just wanted to post them up to make sure you could test the same that I run. As for the 300m coils I have always been told to use the viper settings so those should of worked, I would think if you are getting low rpm misfire it does sound like a dwell problem so you might play with the lower rpm dwell to see if you can clear it up.

Good luck

Want to build me a coil on ignition? PM me if you are interested.

I will sell my HKS DLI II ASAP! I still get hiccups while using the HKS DLI II and I don't know why. Someone told me to junk the Magnacore 8.5 wires because they cause problems?

yes the magnacores are probably the problem. the dont fit onto the plugs properly. now why would you sell the dli? and if that aem in your sig is the aem standalone, then you probably shouldn't be running the dli without changing the dwell settings to accomadate the stronger spark. i'm not positive if hks advises not to use the dli with standalones, but i know xs engineering advises against it and they are basically the same type of igntion amp.

im running the DLII W AEM in my car & have not have any negative issues W the two interacting (base cal dwell settings)

...................................""Update 10-9-06"" DLiII or harness has failed, waiting on new HKS DLi harness to confirm whether DLi unit or harness failed ....................................

now thew magnecore's are a diff story, i had the 8.5's & had nothing but problems W them, both before & after installing the DLII. problem finally went away when switched back to OEM wires...... i agree, the magnecore's fit poorly as well

like i said. i wasn't sure if it made a difference with the dli in regards to running a standalone. all i knew for a fact was the xs doesn't recommend it.

Great stuff, thanks

Both of these ignitions are proven to hold at least 35psi w/ a 150 shot of nitrous with no other ignition amplifier. For a $20 ignition you cant complain

Same here, I have been using it for about 6 months now, I don't drive my car alot but I haven't had to change the plugs either. They are still running strong and clean.

Does the HKS DLI connect the same way to the individual coils? Because the DLI only has two harnesses to connect to the OEM 2 coil packs.

My car is now tore apart but I never ran into an ignition problem since I swapped over to this method. Car would pull great at 30+ psi. Plugs also did stay cleaner for longer.

Trina - Did you ever get the car working with the COP 300M Coils?

Also could I do this on stock ECU?
How would I change the "CAL" values you keep referring to?
