I have no idea what you are talking about. I'll have you know my avatar is in no way, shape, or form a reference to Warrtalon.
Its simply a funny character I made up named Wade.
Wade is a wanna be tuner that thinks he knows everything and talks down to ppl and cries all day about searching and why you said this or that.
I'm sure Warrtalon and everyone else on the forums will agree this is not even close to being a reference to him.

Cheers!

Stock intake with a Works drop in filter works for me as well as my stock aluminum diverter valve.

I'd have a lot more respect for you if you'd confront the guy in the open, instead of trolling disingenuously, hiding behind a fable that would only make sense to a little kid. I'm an admin on another forum and have been posting since the days of Usenet. Please take a moment and try to imagine just how many stories like yours I've heard.

I made the choice of going with the BR intake. To be brutally honest, it's great to be loud at the higher rpm's, because for normal driving speeds, it just makes me want to to shift at lower rpm's that much more.

Why? I take it you never did actually click the link in my first post; because the whole thread was Al beating down how the HKS RS sucks **** through and how it dirtied up that guys intake tract. Read it again.

It's a fascinating comment from someone who used the Internets (sic) to call someone a "dousche" (sic).

While you're sticking your tongue out at people, while chastising them, you may want to consider the comical implications of such an action.

Remind me where I said anything remotely positive about the RS. My argument was and has been for the Helix unit.

Ill take 10whp any day of the week for $150. This argument is a mute point from here on out given this information. Next...
I guess this is where i got confused and thought you were talking about the HKS, but i see what your saying now.

No, a drop-in filter does not require a retune. We've only said that about 8000 times.
Didnt make sense in the first place, just wanted to make sure. I know getting a reflash is cheaper and better, but where i come from we dont have any dynos or anyone who can flash an ecu, even our dealer cant flash an ecu back to stock, so im going to have to send it out, where do you recommend i should send it to? since im overseas i dont know where the best place is for such thing.
Plus what type of info will the flashing company be needing other than the mods? do they need info on the pump gas im running on? climate? or any other information?

One more question, Does a recirculating BOV need a retune? Im guessing not?

Well that makes it 8001, Thanks though!

I am in the same situation, I'd go to Dynoflash, but my car is a Evo IX JDM GSR (note, JDM... GSR... which means I have Super-AYC). I'm concerned when they flash, they're going to wipe the Super-AYC programming or something, as the USA GSR does not have Super-AYC.

Also, we have minimum 97 Octane gas here, and I use the premium stuff which is 98 Octane. I believe they only tune for 80-something octane since that is what is commonly available in the US?

I swear it has nothing to do with Warrtalon. Man, I love that guy!! Couldn't imagine someone saying something bad about him.
But anyways this is getting waaay off topic.

I was thinking about that HKS RS kit, but it is true, I had it on my '03 and my intake pipe was always very dirty- not to mention the car would want to stall alot.. dunno if it was the intake or my BOV that caused that.

Im gonna check out this Helix.
