50 trim on 2.3 stroker
The added lift and duration of the revolvers definitely helps over the HKS 280's (keep in mind idle is lumpy) - downside is you have to be prepared to change out your entire valvetrain. To maximize benefits, I'd also get some porting and go with oversized valves. There are substantially diminishing returns (cost v power) at that point however - I would only consider such modifications worthwhile for the big turbo / stroker guys who trying to squeeze out more power.

2.3 buschur motor w/ stage 3 head
AMS 3076R turbo w/ AEM, HKS 272/272, HKS DLI, Buschur deluxe IC, stock TB and mani., Buschur full exhaust w/ highflow cat.
Tuned by Dave w/ his signature fat tune of 10.9 AFR
345 whp / 314wtq on Buschur Mustang Dyno pump gas only.
I believe boost is at 20-21 lbs
waiting for an opening in Martin/AMS schedule for an alcohol tune.
I always thought an incredible combo would be a BB-50trim on a 2.3L. Its a perfect match of quick spool and great top end power.
I think most people dont do it because once they have a stroker (built) they just go for that GT35R to make the BIG numbers because its so easy once youre right there.

DSMfan, I can see how you'd enjoy the feel of the White Rabbit cars, but have you ridden in a car with 2.3+BB50+alky? You may change your mind when feeling 450whp/450wtq with spoolup just after 4000rpm. I don't really know - I just imagine it would be nice even for us when autocrossing, but MAINLY on the road course.
The 2.3 would be the way to go with a turbo GT3076 and up. The EVO already spools decently compared to a 2.5 Suby, the 2.3 would be just that much better. Honestly I question the wisdom of a non-drag car running a 2.3 then a GT35R because of the limited redline. The larger GT35 compressor is great for making better numbers on 91 octane pump gas (and of course race gase) because it's so much more efficient but you lose a whole lot of midrange... I personally would take a GT3076 with a 2.3 anyday for daily driver / track use.
Speaking of 2.3, we have a 2.3 in need of a good home. Originally built for a customer, unfortunately the customer crashed his car!
As for alcohol / meth injection I know of several local customers that have run these systems daily driven for tens of thousands of miles. The key to having a reliable alki / meth injection system is regular inspection / maintenance. If you've ever driven a meth powered EVO making 320whp on the stock turbo, you might change your mind on getting such a system. It's almost like driving a Viper GTS off the line without the floatiness, rattles and the brake bias.

If you're going with the stroker. I will stay with the 272s, but if you're building your 2.0, I will go with the 280s because of the high reving advantage. Stroker and 50trim is a killer set up for your daily driven Evo. I'm running around with a 50trim with stock motor on pump gas and loving it.

I have a buddy with a 60 trim type turbo and he blows away almost anything on pump (including a new Z06).
