My bad for the noobie question....I jus installed a used autometer lunar boost guage that I got from a buddy of mine and when I turn the car on at idle the needle goes 2 20 vacum...when I go WOT it spikes to 20 psi...are these normal readings for a stock 05 evo..I thought it was boosting kinda high at 20, but i thought i was supposed 2 b boosting 18 - 19 at most. I was just concerened about the reliability of the guage since it was used and the damn thing wont even light up..

 

You are def not boosting high maybe a little low but it also might be the gauge its hard to tell. I spike to 21 in my 03.

Stock boost is 20.3psi. You really did not know that after being on EvoM so long? No USDM Evo has been set as low as 18psi...

well, i wouldnt say no usdm evo... my 03 after boost gauge install, no other mods was hitting a very nice and calm 16.5 to 17 max..... but its nice that none were

 

Its fine! Now raise it to 22 and put some good gas and get a tune!
