Evo 9 Spark plugs

Just wondering what the high power Evo 9 guys are doing for spark plugs. I know Evo 8 sparkplugs dont work, they are too short or the threads dont match or something like that. Yes I searched, and for some reason I get a "Fatal Error". Any help would be appreciated.

your search returns that because there are too many returns for spark plug, i had the same problem... HKS sells plugs that fit the ix but they are almost 100 a set, little crazy, only other option is the stock plugs for now which are irridium anyway and they are like 60 at lancershop

can you not just use NGK BPR7ES? Gap them to .026 unless for some reason those don't fit on IXs. I haven't read that problem yet, though...

Warr...I believe the spark plug threads on the 9 are 1/4' longer than the 8's.

It will thread in but it won't reach the combustion chamber.

read the first reply, HKS makes plugs that fit..... someone else on here has them and used them... but warr, the plugs that fit the 8 dont fit the 9, the part with the threads and electrodes is a bit longer on the ix...

Im not so sure, the only EVO-compatible spark plugs HKS makes are the S40G model and they are for the EVO 8. That being said there is no 9 model yet, with the porcelain piece extended. The plugs will fit the thread of course, but if you compare them with a stock IX plug youll see the difference.
