20g comparison

That was on a Dynojet. The Buschur "20G" has made about 50whp and over 100wtq more than that the one time it was on a Dynojet, and has gone 11.2 or faster in the quarter mile. Not saying the "real 20g" can't match that, but I don't think it has yet. And the "real 20g" is quite a bit laggier than the BR 20G9-5, with spool-up closer to a 50trim.

The curves are better than any stock turbo you've seen? No way, the torque was really low and didn't ramp up until much later than any stock turbo. Not sure what you meant by that comment. Yes, Ben's power was on pump gas, but it is laggy, costs a lot, and requires a custom manifold. When he does race gas, though, it will make some good power, I bet...probably more than the regular stock style 20g.

Anyway, yes there is a tad bit more lag....but overall it does not look that bad...I'd guess on the street you'd have very usable power by about 3400...? I like the fact that it can sustain the tq throughout the band though.
I love the way the stocker hits...but I'll be damned if it can hold the ****ing torque...its annoying...almost feels like blue ***** once you get to 3rd and 4th gear top end...

As has been said in every corner of this forum, different people have different needs from their car. Some will take 20 more HP above 5000rpms, some want 40 more wtq between 2500 and 5000 rpms. What you want your car to be capable of will dictate what products you install. Personally, I like (and need for racing) huge low end torque to accellerate out of corners. When you have a Quaife front LSD and can spin 285/30/18 Kumho V710's coming out of a +1.0G corner - that is bliss.

I contemplated the 20g for a long time. At the time I was looking for my next snail I had not seen good enough proven gains to justify spending the mula. My 50 trim has died(Piece of **** Innovative...stray away!!), and I have a TTR HP61 on the way...if I'm as unhappy with the spool on it as I think I might be, I will one of two things.
A) 2.3 stroker
B) 20G
I run alky so obviously I would be able to use it to its potential, just need to find some good low down on the graphs to see its real advantages.

With all respect to the above mentioned turbos, I pulled an 11.9 with a 1.84 60 foot.
This pass was made on pump, 22psi, 272 cams, stock front mount, and my horrible driving.
Once everything is dialed in with my alchy I won't be suprised to see 11.5 and lower.
Also maintaining boost is a lot easier with the real 20g, at 28psi I only see boost fall off by about one psi.
Plus the 20g-5 doesn't have a bad *** dyno video =)

You always forget to leave out you paid 2x as much (same cost as a 3065/35r kits)
I wish I had a local 1/4 track but all I have is 1/8

BTW I'm just messin with ya lol.. 20G is a great turbo to hold you over til you can get a big daddy turbo
