engine idle problem

ok, not too long ago the evo started acting up. looked for loose/off vacuum lines but couldn't find any.

at idle the car is great, if you go out and run WOT in 3rd gear... i does not drop down to idle when i let off unless i leave it in gear to slow the engine down physically. after slowing it back to idle like that is is fine again???? not sure what the hell is up. doesn't throw any code either

mods: DC 3" dp (no cat) greddy Ti exaust, aem intake, afc2 (the problem persists even if it is removed), profec b ebc

any help would be appreciated

Is your BOV opening when you let off the throttle?

jon, i believe this has been talked about before...and i had the same issue. i think its because of the restrictor thats in the slave cylinder. I took it out when I installed my stainless steel clutch line. Ill give you a call later today and stop by for a second and see if it was the same issue i had, I think we live fairly close.

i know my clutch has been acting up, piece of crap is dying at 1500 miles and i haven't beaten on it that bad. deffinitly give me a call, i don't have your number anymore due to me being a moron and washing my old phone with my jeans

kinda surprised the clutch could have something to do with it, but i am willing to try anything at this point, getting frustrated cause everything else i looked at hasn't helped. getting ready to send out for a flash just for temporary smoothness, i know i am running rich as hell and not having much luck screwing with the afc

I read somewhere that if you did a mod for the rev limiter that it may also cause this type of problem. (not the reflash method of rev limiter). Sorry, wish I could help by finding the thread.

i haven't modified the rev limiter. i think the reflash may help me as much or more than anything. i am going to try and make it up to chicago the end of this month for a flash though

yo graphite you gotta tell me how you fix it. (if you do) I did the ss line and restrictor removal and its still stalling (doing the same exact thing). The turbo spins, but the BOV is making that bogging noise. I have an K&N instake, does n e one think the intake will cause this type of problem cause it didn't before.. Oh and the car was at a stand still for about 2 months. Cleaning the injectors with stp and changing sparkplugs to see if this will help, but graphiteMR do keep posting about solving this problem... Thanks
