The only problem I had with my HKS DLI is that when the car is shut off, the turbo timer takes over and counts down... yes thats what the Turbo timer is supposed to do, but in addition to that my ABS light comes on, and all 3 of my ACD light lights up for like 2-3 seconds then shuts off. Its kinda like me getting in the car putting the key in for the first time and turning the power on, all the lights go on and then turn off if all those systems are ok.

I contacted HKS about this and they said that as long as the DLI led light lights up fine then my car is ok. So far so good, my car idles smoother. pulls harder in each gear, and doesnt take as much time to start. I'm running an AEM EMS as well, converted to speed density

Should I go ahead and put in those BP8ES gapped to 28 with the DLI now?

I'm running 272s, aem ems and all the bolt ons. I have a tune next week for SMC Alky. I thought I did my homework and decided on these plugs, but now I'm not sure. Maybe I should just let my tuner decide at TorqueFreaks Portland. I suppose it can't hurt anything to at least install the DLI now.

Thanks again Malibu, Zeus and everyone else for your time. I now have a car again!
I know many who have done it... sometimes it is TOO simple to plug them in.

Ouch but sometimes you have to make mistakes to learn, we are only human.

I'd bet anything its your harness. I just had a customer from evoM come into our store with a dli2 he purchased over a year ago. He has taken the head off to do valve work and once he put the dli2 back in he had the same exact problem. We tried another harness and it was fine. WEIRD THING IS, WE COULD'NT FIND THE PROBLEM ON HIS HARNESS BY THE NAKED EYE!!! We could have used a test light or meter to find whih wire it was but it ws late so we said f*ck it, and he just bought the new harness.

BEST BET IS TO FIND A BUDDY WITH WORKING DLI2 AND BORROW HIS HARNESS AND SEE IF YOUR BOX WORKS, THEN MAYBE TRY YOUR HARNESS ON HIS CAR. I DOUBT THE DLI2 IS BAD AND IF YOUR COILS WORK WITHOUT THE DLI2 THEN YOU OBVIOUSLY DIDNT FRY THEM. GOOD LUCK!!!

I am glad I just found this. My harness is bad on my DLI II as well. Is anyone else having this problem? Mine is still under warrenty but they have to ship it back to Japan and I have to wait 2 months or more to get it back. That sucks. I have always hated HKS.
*EDIT* here is someone else. I guess HKS is having a problem with their harness.
