I also got the settings from Buschur but haven't had a chance to enter them in. For some reason when I had everything connected and cranked the car up the only thing that lit up on the S-AFC were the buttons. And the car was running like ****, granted the A/F wire was spliced to the S-AFC which was not working. Any ideas why I get button lights and nothing on the display?

I did what you did by usnig an xacto but I did not solder. I did make 100% shure that there was connectivity, then used electrical tape. I know, that may be the problem. I doubt it though. Could it be a bad ground? Brown wire goes into the ECU but there is also a black wire, another ground. I had it gounded to a piece of metal that is screwed into a piece of plastic. Bad ground? It doesn't take rocket science to hook this up.

Quick question. Wouldn't the RPM and Speed monitor work if the A/F wire was not connected to the S-AFC? I hooked just those 2 and started the car up and had just the button lights.

See my other post.. However let it also be noted that the S-AFC instructions are very explicit about the correct wiring, and NOT to just ground the black wires arbitrarily, the manual even says it can (will) lead to malfunction.. Don't worry your close.. If you snipped the MAF wire, and its malfunctioning, the car will run poorly (if it runs at all) in open loop using TPS and default maps.. If your CEL light didn't go on, it will.. If you put a scantool on it, It probably recorded a MAF Error.. If you ever want to disable the S-AFC, you can disconnect the wiring harness, but you have to reconnect the MAF wires (the wire you snipped) Thats why they provide those bullet connectors.. I rigged a toggle switch (double pole, single throw) into my wiring, which currently isnt in because I'm waiting for a wiring harness extension, that will allow me to remove the S-AFC and flip a switch to restore regular ECU function..

No prob, you helped me out big time. I just read into it way too much. Brain fart. Long day late install. Should have waited. And yer right, there is bold text stating the importance of the ground wires placement.
