evo 9 turbo installed in my '05 evo 8....
Datalog your wideband on race gas today at high boost and send me the file. I will help you get the tune dialed in better for the track tomorrow. It will be hot tomorrow and humid, so I dont think even with a perfect tune that the car will run its best. You will probably have to wait to a cooler night to get that 11.8 ... But it wouldnt hurt to get the tuned dialed in better.

the evo 9 turbo is so impressive. I got an evo8 and threw on the evo9 20g 6 blade i never had a chance to get it dyno tuned due to some catastrophic problems but....it just pulled harder and felt like it wouldnt stop pulling. Im now treading in my 8 due to the problems and getting the nine in a couple of weeks and gonna start of new but im gonna sell the 20g turbo
Bump for an update on this.....I see you got your 11.8 but I am curious how your tune changed from the 8 to the 9 turbo.
Also did loosening the wastegate arm help recover spool as well as reduce boost creep?

i kept the same custom street tune installed when i changed the turbo and exhaust manifold. no changes were made to the ecu for pump gas. all it did was lean the afr's out a little bit from 10.4 afr to a 10.7-10.8 afr. the car runs great on 93oct and 22psi. i didn't loosen the wastegate arm yet because the boost creep seemed to work its way out for the most part. it creeps maybe 1/2 psi on the boost gauge. not sure why the boost creep went away but it did and the car is running great!
