My car does that when its not warm enough. This happens to me in the morning when im going to work. After a while of driving it drives and shifts smooth without any jerking. Maybe you released the clutch too fast without giving it gas.

If it happens right when you hit full boost then it is more than likely the boost blowing out the spark. Check your spark plugs they are more than likely gapped incorrectly or expanded the gap over time. I know that it happens a lot in srt-4's but this is the first time i have heard of it in a stock evo. I think the gap is either 28 or 38 for stock. Try 38 and if it still does it move it down. Make sure that the plugs are the right temperature rating to. If there two cold they will burn out faster.

as for my clutch it is brand new maybe 3000 mi on it> as for letting off the clutch to fast my foot wasnt on the clutch it was on the gas pedal only...... as for the plugs i have not check them yet... but I will look in to that... but this condition only happens everyo once in a while...
It was 28 then. My bad. Like i said i have never had the problem on an evo. On my friends srt we gapped the plugs at 35 to get rid of the problem. 28 Was what I was told by billet.
The irdiums already have a low gap. You dont have a MBC do you. Is your boost reading correct. Cause if you are overboosting that could be a problem too. I had the same thing happen, I would put the pedal to the floor and when my boost was near peak sometimes the car would just slam me forward. I turned the boost down a little and had no more problems. But I had a MBC.
