Please take my advise, go and get you a clamp before you attemp to install this LICP otherwise you will be short one.

excellent advise. I hope BR resolves this and includes an extra one in the future...

I suggest you get t-bolt clamps on there. Radiators clamps will blow off and will leak.

Actually T-bolts aren't really needed on the lower pipe IMHO. I only used them for the connection to the IC.

NAPA carrys a STRONG worm style clamp that I've been using on my LICP for months.

7051521(this one works great on the 2" piping)
1.25 - 2.63
$2.49

7051522
2.13 - 4.13
$2.69

Sorry to junk up your thread but these clamps are great for the lower ip pipes

My BR upper IC pipe had some shavings and crap in it, but it was easy to clean out. I never install anything on the intake side of the engine without inspecting and cleaning it. You'd be amazed what I found inside of my HKS (BIG$) T4 cast manifold before I put it on. It would have caused severe engine damage within minutes of running.

It does not matter what vendor sells you something, you need to fully inspect before installation.

About the grime inside the piping.... It is B.S. that left here like that. I also see a few others in here commented on receiving items that had stuff in them as well. What that is you are seeing in the pipe is grease from the pipe being in the mandrel bender that dirt/shavings that has stuck to it from being cut and machined here. I have NO idea how/why these pieces left here like that but they shouldnt have.

The way we normally take care of this is we spray a degreasing chemical in ALL of the piping (except the downpipes, off-road pipes and catbacks), then a brush is run through it to make sure it is clean. It then is rinsed with hot water, dried and then shipped.

I made this VERY aware to everyone here and I will gurantee it will not happen again to anyone. I really apologize for the inconvenience and hassle of having to clean the mess that should have already been taken care of on our end.

Jarrod,

Thanks for your good customer service. We are very happy with the product, we ran fast at the local track and we noticed a huge improvement on spool up and boost.

I know that you know that I post here a lot and I am not critizing the product, I am just perhaps bringing this to your attention. I am sure this is just an isolated case. A brand new pipe like this one normally does not get dirty in such little time.

Don't swear it man, it is OK.

Was this for a stock fmic. On the buschur site it makes it seem as if its for aftermarket fmic's only. Also did they ever resolve the issue with the missing clamps when you order.
