Yea I actually turned mine around and it sounds great now. Make the nipple for the intake return line face up. Everything should be okay..

What exactly do you mean? Are you saying that you reversed the valve?

The shorter valve should be facing down, longer valve going sideways, and intake return line nipple facing up..Hope that clarifies things... To sum it up, the way you have it in now is backwards, just try to fit the valves in another way...

WannaRace,
How does it sound compared to stock? I would like a nice blow off sound without idle problems.

Did it and it worked. Thanks
Seemed strange that was the way it goes, but apparently it is.

First of all, there's only 1 valve, so I'm still not too sure when you say 'shorter valve' vs. 'longer valve'.

What I *think* you're saying is that it goes on completely opposite of how the stock BOV is attached. I'll give it a try, but it DEFINITELY seems counter-intuitive when compared to the stocker and the 1st gen BOV I had in my GSX.

Would have been nice if it came w/ instructions!

Gonna have to turn mine around also. I am not very happy with it installed in the same orientation as the stock unit. You guys say it works so I'll give it a try.

I'll let you know how it works for me.

There is another post out there where I talked to Forge about it and they say it can go either way. I found that it seemed to surge and was less smooth wht the barb horizontal. Not to mention the squeking noise I got.

Well I turned it around so vacuum barb is vertical now. Feels smother now. Have not noticed any down side.

I also spoke to Tom Porter at Forge about this valve and it appears that they at Forgemotorsport USA are still in the learning mode. He told me that people on this forum are running the valves oriented in both directions and that I should try both ways to see if one worked better than the other. No explanation or functional description to help understand the science, but it appears to work better.

Check out my thread on BOV testing. I took it apart and tested it, interesting.
I too find tha it was smoother when I turned the barb upwards. Next I am going to play with the springs I think.

Does anyone know what color spring come stock in the Forge recirc from the factory, and what is the recommended spring to use in Evo that has shown to be most consistent positive feedback that's not stock? When would you use the yellow or blue springs?

There are other threads with more information out there about the springs.
As far as it stands now, they are sending then with Blue and now include the spring kit anyway so you can change it.
Yellow is for bone stock and lighter. Blue is good for mods and some boost increase.
