2.3 stroker

are there any negatives to getting a 2.3 stroker block?

what's the difference in safe shifting limits....


anyone else have anything negative about these?

you can't go much beyond the stock rev limiter wtih a built 2.3

whereas a stock 2 liter can go up to like 9k with the right stuff.

I shift at 7500 a lot, would that kill the 2.3?

Its ok the safest point would be 8500rpm anything past that your running a risk in blowing.

Jackson auto machine recommends 7-7.5k rpm is safe limits. ill be keeping mine at 7k to be extra safe...

maybe sometimes at the track but daily driven shifting often at 8.5k seems a bit high

lots of guys on this board shift at 8 daily ... it's the guys with big ***** that shift at like 8.5 or 9k with 2.3s

or at least that's what i've noticed when reading

just set ur ignition cyt at 8300 and shift at 7500 thats what i do with mine

i was shifting on stock head/motor to 8200. now im stroking it, probly rev to 8500
