primary 02 sensor....

I recently had my hotside and 02 housing put on and the shop couldn't get the primary 02 sensor of the stock 02 housing. Is it bad to be driving the car without it? I've only driven it once in a week and a half.

I'm gonna try to get the stock one out or I'm just gonna buy a new one.

you are wasting a ton of fuel at all driving conditions except for WOT. The stock ECU uses that sensor for figuring out how much fuel to add/remove in order to maintain a nice 14.7:1 a/f ratio. with out it your going to be running in the high 10s low 11s.

Im suprised you haven't thrown a CEL - p0320 yet.

Thank you for the response.

Yeah....I drove my car to a car show over the weekend and it used a little more fuel than usual. I am throwing a code but not sure what it was. I know it was for the 02 senser though.

I just wanted to make sure driving it like this didn't mess it up. I'm suppose to drive to Nashville this weekend and didn't want to take the chance of damaging anything if I didn't get a 02 sensor in time.

Thanks again...

Did you at leas pluged the whole in o2 housing? if not, you can get car on fire by running it rich and having open hole right next to plastic and all. Carefull

C'mon now.... of course I didn't plug the hole. I sounds like I have a external wastegate or something.
