ok so i went out to start my car. i get in and turn the key over and it started to turn over then PING. car starts not turning over and making a weird noise. i tryed to bump start the car and when i did that the tires just locked up. so i dont really know what it is. my only guess is that i got a rod bearing stuck under the crank. any ideas? thanks mike

 

a rod bearing would not cause the wheels to lock up. maybe you broke a valve, and the tip of the valve is stoping the engine from moving?
get a breaker bar and try to rotate the engine by hand. try to rotate it either way.
what mods do you have? would you have any idea why this would suddenly happen?

 

i have a 3076 with 280's.

i got meth put in and retuned yesterday. i drove it all day then last night this happend im not sure what im going to do about it.

 

Same noise was heard from my engine awhile back with my 90' Talon. Turned out to be a busted valve or two or three or, hell.. A LOT of them. Car wouldn't turn over, just crank as if the battery needed jumping. I sold it "as is" and the kid took it to the dealership. They pulled the head apart and well... the rest is history!
