2.5 mph bumper removal
my sponsor and i are ganna try and tackle this project soon. we noticed that the car responds very positivly to weight removal. we have yet to take off the front facia, but i want to know what kind of ordeal this is ganna be. is it likely were ganna have to cut off welds? or is it bolted on? will this reduce the structural integrety of the car? if i do get hit, will the car krumple up alot more? i think this would drop alot of useless lbs off the car, and intern improve handling/acceleration.

Shiv already has, and it appears that it is more effort than its worth. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...threadid=19307
Rear bumper beam: 17lb
Rront bumper beam: 13lbs
Most of the weight gained on the US Evo is not in the bumpers. It's in the parts behind the bumpers.

First off, IMO, I think it is bit dangerous running a street car without the bumpers... you never know what can happen and when. Recently a buddy of mine got in an scrape which was not his fault... he decided that putting the bumpers back on was a good idea
Second off, I don't think that the 17+13 lbs is worth the effort especially if you wanted to do it just for the track on a weekend or something.
I know the 1G DSM bumpers are outragous in weight... I think they weigh in at a combined 70 + pounds
