TME locked up/rebuilding options help

Hey all,

I was on my way home last night when on a mild boost acceleration it cut out like a misfire and I lost all boost. I was pertty sure an IC hose popped off so I waited until the car cooled down and checked everything. No IC hose loose at all. I will check the turbo tonight, but was told it's toast. Now this was a used TME I bought a few months back. Do you guys know a place that can rebuild it and approximately how much it costs? So far I know of majestic turbo and Ferced Performance. I will give them a call in a little while. Thanks for the help. Please don't say turbochargers.com

Today is your lucky day. Blouch turbo is probably the best at rebuilding turbos.

Call 717-865-3276, ask for Mike. Tell him that Ben told you to call.

Good luck.

TME rebuild

Thanks for the advise. I'll call them this afternoon or monday, after I take the turbo out. Maybe I'll get to upgrade the turbo a bit, if they offer clipping or something else. Who knows.

Tme

Well, I put my stock turbo back on. The TME exhaust wheel was completely gone. I had to dismantle my exhaust to make sure no parts of it were stuck. The hot side was shot as well. I guess that's the last time I buy a used turbo. Not even 3000 miles of use and boom. I don't think that what is left of the turbo can be salvaged. I guess I will wait until something better comes out before I go through all that work again.
