Wanted to know if you can take a MIVEC head and fit it to 05 with no issues.? Obviously you would need the ecu , injectors ?? etc.

Is the mivec just in the head etc??

Also would i have any issues putting a 06 MR 6-speed on my 05 gsr ?
And lastly does the 9 front bumper fit the 8 without cutting or modding anything ?

 

Not sure on the other questions, but the bumper will fit. Oh, and also talk to Jon @ TRE about putting a 6 speed in your car. They can hook you up.

 

Do you have a MR or a GSR? I just noticed that you said you drive an 05 MR. EDIT: just noticed the "well kinda" part.

 

MIVEC is operative thru the intake cam gear. You would also need the cam to get oil feed to the solenoid. Wiring harness (complete as it is pinned differently) and ECU are also required. For what you want to do and what it would cost, why not just trade in for a IX? MIVEC is cool, but it is far from necessary to make HIGH horsepower.

 

Yea sounds like way too much stuff , how about the tranny though ? Does that just bolt right up ?

 

It should bolt right up, the 6-Speed that is.

 

TRE has a trany swap kit to do the 6 speed in a gsr
