Boost leak problem!!

Boost leak problem!!

Well i have a boost leak some wheres but i dont know where, i checked every single connection and every thing is secure, i'm running 21 lbs on my tme 20g and theres no problem until i get around 6k rpms, from 6k to red line the boost drops to 16 lbs....so if some body is having this problem please help me!

use soapy water on the usual areas clamps and hoses on licp uicp i woudl check, it will make it alot eaiser to tell

make a tester and charge the system up to check for leaks.

i just did it yesterday and found a 1 inch gash in a coupler. fixed it and the car pulls like a champ!

oh i read this post wrong i thought you said you already boos leak tested it and couldnt find the leak my bad well yes make a tester and if you cant find the exact area put soapy water on where you think it is an that should reveal it

I will try that tomorrow, i was asking some friends from here and they ware telling me that it could be my wastegate but i have an upgraded one with a 17 lbs spring, what do you guys think?

I have the 18 lb. spring in mine and even if you were just running on wastegate, you would be holding 17lbs. It sounds like a boost leak. I would put money on it.

No i havent ....the only thing i checked was that all the couplings were in and tight and from what i can tell every thing looks fine but until i get the test done i will know.

Yes the car is tune and im using a hallman bc

No that started when i change the turbo, well at least thats when i first notice the problem...

check all the clamps, vacuum hoses, intake pipe, blow off valve, intercooler, piping, maybe an exhaust leak at the manifold or turbo gasket in between the turbo and manifold i can almost gaurantee its a vacuum leak
