Forge DV lowering boost
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else out there....
I just installed a Forge DV(EVO15), and took it for a spin to see how it was holding. At max boost, I was only boosting about 17-18, which is normally set at 22psi. I checked all the connections, and turned up my boost controller, which appears to have fixed the problem. Just seeing if that sounds normal since logic would tell me that it shouldn't have changed.

Yeah...I am sure that it was a small leak. Those heavy duty clamps they give you are no joke. I tightened the bejeezus out of mine to be sure....I didn't even know they had a bejeezus!!!

A dozen different things could cause the issue you are experiencing. You shouldn't need to turn up your boost. That basically means that the valve is leaking boost or you have a boost leak elsewhere in the system.
- Is the valve tuned with the appropriate spring for the level of boost you are running? (you should likely be using the Blue colored spring)
- Are ALL of your hose connections tight and free of leaks?
- Is the vacuum line to the top of the valve from the intake manifold connected, secure, not cracked, and free of leaks?
- Is your boost controller sharing the reference with your valve? If so, it needs it's own reference from the turbo outlet pipe.
Double check all of your work and even check things you didn't even touch when installing the valve. It could be anything, but it's 99% likely a leak somewhere.
