Problems with my intercooler piping!!!!

I just bought an 06 evo a month ago and put on the hks racing intake two weeks ago. Now this problem has happened twice where my intercooler piping is popping off parts of my engine. I tightened all of the clamps when i put the intake on and now they keep getting loose for some reason and i don't know why. If anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it.

You just have to get better clamps or do a better job of clamping. You also are only hurting your 9 if you have an intake as your only mod. IT's probably getting revenge by blowing off the IC pipes...

I was thinking about the better clamps idea and what other mods would help prevent hurting my evo.

Go to your local Napa and purchase T-bolt clamps my friend. They will keep it on FOREVER

If it keeps popping off at the throttle body you need to make sure that the clamp is fully seated behind the lip. It its half on it will come off much easier.

I live in Medford NJ its right outside of cherry hill, in south jersey. i made sure the clamps were on the piping fully. it just seems odd that the clamps keep loosening

What brand of Intercooling Piping are you running with? If they are stock then try removing the HKS intake. I have the Injen hard pipe but it doesn't agree with the HKS intake system. T-Bolts are nice but the Injen kit didn't come with it. TTP says they don't get as tight as the worm style clamps. Ideal brand worm clamps came with the kit.
