this is not the first time that I've seen this issue, My buddy had the EXACT same experience with TRE probably 2 years ago having his DSM tranny rebuilt.. litterally took them another 3 weeks after they originally told him it was shipped to give him a tracking number, funny part is that they gave him a tracking number that was not valid and he had to call for another two days to get the correct one.

Might be a good shop but they are definatly not great when it comes to customer service, I'd rather stick with Shepard personally.

just my .02

Hopefully his work will speak for it self and I will forget all about this mishap. When ever I get the tranny in I will still give it a fair review for you guys and for him. Maybe his work is so damn good its worth the headache?

I can be optomistic can't I?

I am going to be furious with him if I don't get my transmission in another week. This has gone on long enough.

wow over $2k for justa rebuild.. There must have been a lot more to it. I hope this gets resolved. I hate doing business with companies that have horrible customer service.

It was pretty much a full rebuild. Not just a beefing up.

True, however it's still asking a lot. A business is there for it's customers, without them the business wouldn't survive. It's never an acceptable excuse to be jerked around because the person is really good at the job. Respect is still respect. You're paying for a service, the least they could do is return a call or simply not give you the runaround when you finally get through. I've worked at places that nobody wants to answer the phones, and it's rooted to shoddy discipline.

This has been a complaint about Jon in the past, but I think most people would say it is worth it because his work is great. Guys like Jon are not making a killing in this business and hiring additional people to answer the phones and emails would probably end up costing us more.

Hopefully you'll have your tranny soon and it will be all worth it for you as well.

I've also been trying to get ahold of TRE for the last two days to see if my 6spd gearbox has arrived at the shop yet. I called 13 times yesterday and 6 times today. I either get a busy signal or a answer machine that doesn't let you leave a msg.

I understand that TRE was hard to get ahold of going into this, but I had no idea it would be this hard.

However, my emails haven't been returned either which leaves me to believe Jon has possibly not been in the office the last 2 days.

Two days really isn't a huge deal for me, I can understand that they might be super busy this week or out of town or something. If I can't get ahold of them next week at all either I might start getting concerned.
