EXO IX CAMS, Comparison questions

Hey guys

i have an IX with all the basic stage 1 upgrades

tbe/mbc/i/tune

im now looking to get some cams

ive been eye balling the GSC 280's that are comming out, but i wanted to get some opinions on other cams as well

i noticed HKS has 280's as well

along with other companies like jun who are offering other cams, 272's and such

on an IX, which cam is going to give me the best gains, and most top end power.

midrange isnt much of a concern to me, i just want as much HP as possible

thanks

There are no comparisons to make. The only ones on the market are from Turbotrix, and they haven't been making power on customer cars. There are no HKS 280s - not sure where you saw those. The GSCs are still being tested by AMS after some hiccups. Jun doesn't have any either. Still not sure where you saw this stuff.

If there were cams on the IXs, you would see tons of threads where people already talked about all this. Very strange thread...

omg HKS will not have IX cams until sometime next year. That's what I was told by HKS at MOD.

There has not been a GOOD set of cams made yet for the IX. HKS even said that they are unsure about the gains with the IX. There may never be a set. The hp #'s have to outway the cost for them to mass produce them (something TurboTrix does not believe in). GSCs cams are no good and TT is crap imo.

The Jun Evo IX is sporting 272s, and that's all the specs we have on them
as of today. We just talked to Jun and they are really close to bringing them
in. Once we recieve any more info we will notify you guys, and once we recieve
Them we will install and dyno test them ASAP.

Matt, i'd sit tight for now and wait on the GSC cams to finish up the testing before making a decision. The more options you have the better off you're going to be. Your only option at the present time is TurboTrix's setup, but they've received lack luster 3rd party results.

I don't recommend this, since this also shows no measurable gains.

an exhaust cam retarded 4 degrees with no tune dropped my 1/4 time .2 and raised my trap speed 3 mph so it does something...

that was untuned also runing 10:1 AFR just go get urself a nice 300$ exhaust cam from hks or something to tide u over till the IX cams come out. It will only be slighty lopey also. i ran these times with pump gas also at 24 psi. all i did was add some 15% nitro to my tank. it was 95 degrees at night also.
