Vibrating Screetching Noise in EVO Clutch
Vibrating Screetching Noise in EVO Clutch
When I downshift slowly in 2nd/3rd gear, a rubing vibrating noise comes from the transmission. Also noticed when I very slowly lift the clutch out at 2000 rpm's I here the same high pitched rubing noise.
What is this???

If it's what I think it is.. It normal again for all-wheel-drive cars... It's the transfer case that rattles when it doesn't have that much positive load on it... Does it sound like: clug clug clug clug clug clug?? Something to that affect? It's gonna get louder when you upgrade the clutch... Normal.. Annoying, but normal...
It is not the clunking noise or the decleration noise I had in the Impreza. My dad's Izusu Tropper made this screeching noise, but the clutch had 70,000 miles on it. The clutch works fine, no slippage and I have been driving a stick for 10 years now. How does a clutch go out in 2000 miles? Is it a bearing in the clutch assembly?
