By the way, AWESOME job and post.

Good luck with the car!

I will definatly post up my dyno sheet when I get it tuned. I just got my break in miles on it and have begun to drive it a little harder I am really impressed witht this car. I am only running 15 PIS with nothing but the 2.3 and a 3" cat back.

However I'm waiting to get it tuned till i have a few more mods:full 3" exhaust, BOV, fuel pump, and I think some 264/272's. But I am selling my Focus this Fri so these things should come soon. I just have to convince my soon to be wife that spending money on the car is more important than our wedding next month

But I am going to leave the stock turbo on it for a while...unless a good deal comes along on a 10cm hotside

Your Post

That is Fricken amazing that you did that all yourself in two weeks!! Waiting for parts, working a full time job, and all, and getting it done. Good Job!! Wish I had the ***** to try something like that. I am curious to how much power you are guessing it is putting out with the 2.3 kit, and you never mentioned what great price you got for that EVO 8 haha.....Really Great Job!

i want to see dyno comparison of a 2.0L stock vs a 2.3L stock.

i want to see what the extra .3 or people that do .4 does by itself, stock boost, stock car.

PLEASE GO DYNO THIS THE WAY IT IS.

thanks

EDIT now that i read, i see someone already kind of said that.
i see u have exhaust too, well put the boost to stock and dyno it ! then tune for better or what ever. just dieing to see how much the extra .3 actually does, would be nice to have a before and after 2.0 to 2.3 only change charts overlapped.

To all those who want to see a stock 2.0l vs. stock 2.3/2.4l comparison just do a search. It's been done a few times and the graphs have been posted.

If I remember right, its like a 40 hp and tq bump up all around the curve and it makes spoolup several hundred RPM quicker..

If I had the desire, i'm sure I could find it via search in 30 seconds...

I would love to have a base line compairison between the 2.0 and the 2.3, however I'm not going to drive 2 hours to the nearest AWD dyno and pay $150, just to know how much hp I made before the mods. Sorry

I will be getting it dyno tuned with basic mods. I have a MR Bov, manual boost controller, Walbro 255, 3" TBE, and I have GSC 264/272 cams waiting to be installed. Once I get some injectors and a lower intercooler pipe I will install the cam and go get it tuned. I was hopeing it would be next week, or the week after. However getting married this month is kinda taking priority

Anyways thanks for the kind words on the write up. Like Terry said I have heard that the 2.3 is good for about 40 extra hp, 50 or so ft pound torque, and faster spool up. I know when i put the 2.4L in my Talon it spooled the turbo about 300 rpm faster. And made it easier to break the tranny
