True daily driver.....10.19 at 143.70 mph

Well, I am impressed. My brother, Daniel, myself and Trent went out to Dragway 42 last night to make a few passes in Daniel's 2003 EVO.

This is the EVO I bought new originally in March of 2003. It was our shop car for awhile and I sold it to Daniel 2+ years ago when I bought my RS. He had put it back to stock for awhile and let it sit. Sometime this summer he decided he wanted this to be the fastest car he owned and went to work. The list of mods is pretty long and I will get to that but more importantly in the case of this car is the list of stuff that hasn't been done and won't be done to ruin it from what it is, a great handling, great breaking, great riding, cold A/C blowing, good sound system daily driven EVO, just like the cars were meant to be!

I already put the times that it ran in the title so you all know it ran 10.19 at 143.70 mph. Here is what I'd like to point out that makes it more impressive:

Stock wheels.

Stock rotors and brakes.

BR, 3" turboback WITH A MAGNAFLOW muffler.

Stock intake and throttle body. (intake is our $75 hand port job, throttle body is our 65 mm)

Every single piece of sound deadening, air bags, door beams, seats, speakers, radio, sway bars, HID's, overlfow bottle, windshield washer bottle, air conditioning, power steering, ABS, power windows and locks etc. are still in this car. *Only thing that has been removed is the front and rear bumper beams, purge canister and the spare tire.

Nitto 555R tires.

Single intank BR HO fuel pump.

Stock fuel lines, feed and return.

Exedy Triple disc clutch.

Transmission, transfer case, driveshaft, axles and rear end are all 100% stock.

So, those are the things I think are important to point out. With Daniel in the car the car weighs 3293 with Daniel in it. I actually stopped typing this post to put the car on the corner scales to make sure. I was surprised it was that light. I am going to try and find a stock EVO 8 and weigh it for comparison.

I'm very impressed with the car and knowing with a better 60 time (this pass was only a 1.679) it will go 9's is even better. We can easily run more boost, next time out we will.

Here is what the car has:

BR Stage 2 liter
BR Stage 3 head
Stage 1-4, with these options: BR Race FMIC, 1200 cc injectors, HO pump, Magnaflow muffler, Tial BOV and AEM EMS.
BR 67P turbo kit
BR alky injection kit
Exedy Triple disc clutch

Pretty short list!!

Enjoy.

I recently weighed my bone stock 03 evo8 at Bandimere, It was 3409 with me in it. I weigh roughly ~145lbs and the gas light was almost on.

Those are some impressive numbers for a daily driven street car. Where do I sign up? lol Im assuming they kicked him off the track due to lack of roll bar/cage?

Never said a word to him about the cage. I was shocked. The car is so quiet and idles so good you overlook it. Sleeper is an understatement.

This was a good idea. I think more people can relate to using this setup and can use this for ideas for their own cars. Most people want to have their car the fastest they can get it while remaining a normal street car. Good info!

Very nice for a true street car. Was c16 fuel used on that run? What does it run with 94/alky?

Eh I thought they were both around/under 20lbs.

You guys make it seem so easy I'm starting to consider this setup as well.
