Wow, $1,000 for a two day tuning class, I might be up for teaching that one!

Yes, turbo kit pricing just dropped. We finally re-couped all of our money that it cost us to pay for the casting and core box from our exhaust manifolds. Now we have the cost of the casting each one, CNC work and the ceramic coating.

We are both going back to the track Friday night. Daniel and myself hope we can drop both cars into the 9's just like they sit. We shall see. Going to be some brutal competition. We might have to take the car trailer with us just incase something breaks

I agree that a BR Stage 4 car is one of the all around best daily driver, track and drag cars you can have in an EVO. Especially if you plan to drive it to work everyday and not have to worry about what is going to break, custom tunes etc. It is a very simple kit that has proven itself good for mid 11's on race gas and high 11's on pump.

11secEVO7,

You are correct, I didn't post anything about the cost of the build nor was I asked. Added all up I am sure this build is close to $20,000, just as my brothers Daniel car is, his ran 10.19 at 143.7 mph.

Yeah Trina just posted that he ran 33-34 psi on his stock block yesterday. I hadn't heard of anyone else doing that before him. Thanks for trying to be an azz though...

I'm sure no tuner would suggest doing this very often though...

Check out efi101.com I took both the dyno class and beginner. It is well worth it. I used to have a 8 sec. RX7 and thought I knew how to tune more than the average racer untill I took this class..

This should be good. Wanna' see some fast times? Put the Buschur brothers head-to-head.

props on the honesty!

it's sad how the little things make it that much more costly.
supporting mods suck

I would say this is proof you don't need a fancy header and a 3" 02 housing to run fast on a GT35R kit. You also don't need to spend more than $2995 for the kit, as that is what this one costs.
Dave,

That's certainly impressive on the cast manifold setup, but isn't there a substantial performance advantage to the SS header/ 3" O2 housing combination?

In your experience, how much more HP and overall performance do you see from the same turbo when comparing results from your kits with cast manifolds/O2 housings to your kits using SS headers/ 3" O2 housings?

NIce. I'm guessing you ended up going to the track cause you and Daniel weren't at the shop when I called. Guess I'll get ahold of you next week so I can get these new cams and injectors tuned.

I have seen no gains in the header kits compared to our manifold kits and 2.5" 02 housings.

That is fact. The cars all make about the same power when they come through here, it is dependant on the amount of mods, cams, octane etc. All GT35R kits I have seen have been close enough to not say "Wow this kit makes an additional 25 whp!" Never done that.

Didn't go to the track. We were in the back working on my RS.

My car has the stock fuel rail, fuel lines, fuel pressure regulator, intake manifold and throttle body on it (ported intake/TB actually, but stock parts). The RS is out of fuel with 1200 cc injectors so we added an adjustable regulator to try and get some more out of it and put on some BFG Drag Radials.

Too bad it's raining, no racing tonight.
