Motor?

I have a cyclinder that the compression is a little low is it safe to drive.
#1 165
#2 165
#3 165
#4 130
Let me know if i should stop driving it and if i should do a cyclinder leak test to find out were it is coming from. I don't have the money right now to fix.
Oh yeah one more thing will this damage my cams if i keep driving and don't hit boost at all.... Boost controller turned down all the way.
Thanks everyone

Evo's Have to Be Cranked Alot to Get the Right COmpression, Like 5 or 6 turns. Numbers look ok For a Turbo car, the 140 reading is Low but not out of spec, The 165 are out of spec by 2 psi, Spec 134-163 PSI

I've spoken to a lot of well known shops about compression numbers.

They have all said: "as long as you're within 20% difference then you're fine."

#4 does look a little suspect, but is only 25psi difference. 20% would be 32psi difference.

Just watch it and check your compression again, when the car is warm every 6 months or so.

Good luck.

I did the test when the car was warm. I cranked it over 6 times per cyclinder.

Have you determined where the loss in compression is going? You sent me a pm for a short block build but untill you determine where your slight loss in compression is going I dont think you should jump the gun.

It could be a cylinder head issue, Headgasket etc.
