car got jacked!!!

brand new cluch got f up during install....so it was time to buy a new clutch... i went online and bought my exedy twin disk clutch... got it for a good price.... then i have the dealer install it.... when i get my car back... check this out... they tell me the car wont engage in reverse because its a drag racing clutch... shifting into first can't be done unless you turn the car off... put it in gear... turn it over and the car would start little... hit the gas and ur off... second,3, 4,5 were only possible while driving... at a stand still cant go into any gear... no down shifting at all... i know something is wrong... they said it would get better and thats how that clutch is... i didn't have time to deal with the issues cause i had work and had to take off... does anybody know why a perfectly good clutch in a perfectly good evo 9 would do that... i know something is wrong... pushing the clutch is so hard that my calf wants to cramp up... i don't know what to do...

Take it to Speed Element. Andy's staff always treats you well and won't let you leave with any questions unanswered. Plus they have Maxim magazines to read while you wait.

You took it to the wrong place, it wasnt installed propery. I cant believe a mechanic told you that to shift into first you NEED TO TURN THE CAR OFF!!! wtf is that.

Isn't there something you have to extend (rod) on the exedy twin? I'm no expert on cluthes by any means but it sounds like this was too advanced of an install for a dealership. I would expect them to pay another shop to do the job right.. but good luck

Why did you go to the dealer to install an aftermarket clutch? Did they say you could keep your warranty if you did so?

the reason why you have to shut the car off to put it in 1st and reverse is because the clutch is not fully disengage. try bleeding the clutch line.
