When i got my o2 housing, hotside and manifold ported i didnt notice any gain. So its probably not a huge amount of power.

Do you have any dyno sheets to back this claim? And what dyno was it on? Not saying you are wrong but I am just relaying you my experience with it cause I actually seen it done.

Im about to install my 9 turbo soon we will see. The manifold and the hotside are ported and the housing is replace by an ebay 02 housing...
Well do youhave a before and after dyno sheet of a evo that did the turbo swap? If not then dont speak. I am telling you ask alfred of TUNING TECH he dyno tuned a 8 before and after the 9 turbo install and it made no power! If you dont beleive me ask him yourself.

Do a search.. You can ask Dynoflash as he has tuned an 05 with this turbo and went to the track and he said the results were incredible and there was also significant gains when they dynoed it

Well the 05 already has the 10.5 hotside. So how could it make a astonishing 25whp with just switching to a turbo that it already has? Granted there are other little differences but the hotside is the major thing. Im sorry until I see a dyno sheet before and after the install I wont beleive it. Im telling you I have seen it before and after and it made no power! Like I said ask ALfred. Besides dynoflash usually does street tuning how could he know if he even made power? Like I said I havent seen any conclusive data that the turbo asctually gives that much whp gain just with the turbo swap. Again if you want to be heard get the conclusive data cause until then you are assuming.

Porting doesnt do a whole lot. You are making it seem like a turbo upgrade powerwise ... My car was dynoed before i got the porting done 280whp after 280whp after tuning 315whp but that was with alcohol. So im guessing it was a waste of money even.

EDIT: and that was going from stock evo 8 hotside to a ported 10.5

No they arent. I already searched. This is why I am telling you. Why dont you search and show me since you claim to have seen them. Cause I havent ever seen a dyno sheet before and after the evo 9 turbo install. I have seen some after the install but never before and because of that IMHO its unconclusive cause we dont ever get a baseline of what it dynoed before.

DING DING DING. I told you guys. Now if that didnt make ANY whp gain then guess what a 9 turbo will give you? Next to nothing. The 10.5 hotsides are what makes the huge difference. And if you didnt see a whp gain from the 10.5 mod then there ya go.

I know for sure there is a guy in the past who installed an evo 9 turbo then dynoed afterwards w/o a tune and the diff. are noticeable already. Ill just wait and see for myself when the 9 turbo is installed and tuned, I already got a baseline....

Dude you send me a pic of the turbos? C'mon man. Why dont you start getting dyno sheets(the real data) and show me. I think I have seen plenty of 8 and 9 turbos. I know the differences but liek I said its already been done I have seen it happen and Alfred DYNO TUNED IT! And after the turbo install it made little to no power! So good luck with your 9 turbo. I would dyno your car before then after turbo install. So you yourself can see the truth.
