I had a HKS hi-power and it was deep. I heard a JUN BL and noticed that both sounded very similar. My hks is for sale if you're interested...

I've got this with the HF cat. I wouldn't call it deep. I wouldn't call it ricer either. It is pretty loud though.

I had the HKS Ti on my Subaru; loved it. I know what you mean. Had it initially catless when I bought it, but welded in a HF cat to be legal.

Hope this helps.

I've yet to have anyone ride in my Evo (who didn't already know) that did not ask what exhaust I was running, and commented on how good it sounds. Price point is a whole other issue.

Love my Megan cat back. Sounds great and you can't beat the price. I just wish I had gotten the one for the Ix instead of the VIII...I'm sure my now melted bumper would have thanked me.

im a newb when it comes to evo's (only onwed mine for a few days)...

But i was looking at the exhaust and on my 06' IX the muffler is bolt on but i wanted to change the mufler but leave all the other pipes stock...ive had back luck with dealerships and warranties so i wanna keep it as stock as i can, plus im just looking for a lil better sound, HP doesnt concern me since the car is great as it is off the showroom...

if there any good exhausts that arent super loud that will just bolt on without changing all the other pipes?...

There are vendors on here that sell the Tanabe for around 825$.

Just do an easy search and you will find them.

most all dealers will accept a cat-back only exhaust and drop-in filter without any warranty issues.

I also just recently purchased a Greddy Ti exhaust, but have yet to put it on. Was searching but couldn't find how the HP numbers are. Was also wondering if it will burn my USDM bumper as just a catback..

But anyway still a fine piece and am excited to get this puppy on. If anyone could answer the questions above it would be great. Thanks

Any catback exhuast will give you 10-15 whp. Going with a turb back exhaust can give you gains of 20-25whp. Much more hp!

Well i personally bought the Buschur exhaust. Its a TBE w/ test pipe and the new bullet muffler. under normal crusing its not loud at all, but under WOT its LOUD!!

In MY OPINION its the best exhaust out there.

Like said in previous posts, if money is not object than go the the Greddy Ti and get a 3" test pipe and downpipe to go with it.
