Exhaust Weight Difference
Just curious... Does anyone know the weight difference between the stock exhaust and the RRM exhaust?
Also, on the same note, I am looking into buying an exhaust but want to keep a semi-stock sounding exhaust. I'm just mainly looking to shed a few pounds off the car and don't want a loud sounding exhaust.

Well, the lightest one would be the WORKS since there is no muffler, drops 21lbs, but it's probably louder than what you want. However I dont own one, so you'd need input on its noise level from people that have it. From what I've read its still fairly quiet until you get on it.

No I'm not going to gut it or race it or anything but after looking at some of the stuff in the car, it has a lot of useless weight that really doesn't need to be there. Anything really to give it a little more pep.

RRM sounds almost like stock. It has just a little more sound to it than a stock Lancer exhaust.
Works on a Fed Spec car is, according to many people that have gotten it, too loud for most people's daily drivers. Works on a PZEV car is louder than stock but not so loud that it becomes annoying.

weight should be the last factor you look at for an exhaust. My logic is you drop weight from the back you should drop weight from the front as well. If your hardcore into that weight reduction stuff. You must work to keep the balance to some degree.
what is important is design / performance, sound , durability.

one thing for sure is less weight reduces load = better fuel economy, with all the amount of crap my girlfriend has in our trunk my car looks lowered lol.
