Clicking noise when key is in ACC position

Hey guys; so when I put my key into the ignition, move it into the 'ACC' position, a series of 5 clicks comes from the left side of my engine compartment followed an 'engaging' sound (I can't think of a better way to describe it ) and then silence. It happens every time I put the key into the ACC position. I'm not sure what it is. It could be something priming up for ignition (but not plugs because there's 5 clicks, 4 cylinders XD). It's probably nothing but I like to sleep well so any help would be great. Thanks brosephs

If I remember right the ACC is the second turn the key makes before it turns over the engine right? If so, Mine does that to and has since i got it. I dont beleive anything is wrong with it or there would be a TSB out. The battery light comes on, so the battery is discharging for a reason.

I think it's the engine 'pre-cranking up' (sorry don't remember the word) so it start fast when you completely turn the key

Isn't it the fuel pump priming the system up?

Old British cars do the same...

Its normal. The clicking sound is the relays under the hood.

It's completely normal. I even asked my dealer when I first got the car and he said that it was the fuel pump.

I asked the tech this morning while he was doing my oil change, and he said it was indeed the ignition relays clicking.

i have said this in about 10 different posts, every time! It's your ABS doing a self check on the solenoids. Completely normal.

Computer checks everything before the startup. My verdict is the clicking sound is normal.
