Yea, the 35r is great for alot of boost. People run the 280's with the 35r all the time and that makes their top end monsterous lol. I'm using the 272/264 because im letting my 35r take care of the top end while my 272/264 do my mid-range and low end. Either way i think you'll be happy.

topsecret, have you even check out my 500whp stock block club thread??With 100octane,you can tune ~28psi which is great for ~ 510whp with you setup.SG have dragstrip??500whp on stock block is not reccomend for DD,but ok for dragstrip.Tomei HG is not nesscery. The lower comp you are,the more lag you have.

yours is with the .63 or .82 ? at what rpm does full boost come on ?

and how come your intake cam is higher than your exhaust side ?
should it be the other way around ?

yeah i've check that thread out..
its impressive what some of the members have done with their stock block.
we dont have a dragstrip here, so we go up to Kuala Lumpur instead, at Sepang.
been there a few times to watch, car is too slow to participate at the moment.

I'm scared thats i fitted the Tomei 1.2 mm metal gasket.
From the gasket down, its all stock.

I have the .63 A/R Housing. Oh, little typo on the cams . I think the massive turbo lag reputation the 35r has is overrated. I dont exactly know when i hit full boost by because i never really looked, but i would say it's between 4600-5000. Just a guess.

topsecret, many of the fastest EVO don't have modified HG.Just throw in ARP Head Stud and you should be fine.Remember this fact, the lower HG you go,the more lag you have.

ProcooEvo evo when he first build his evo with the 35R it had the stock block. He ran 18 psi and got around 4XX somthing whp. It lasted some time then he built the block himself do i dont know how long he ran it for and this was like 2 years ago. So i dont recall that much.

You can run it with a stock block but dont push it to hard play it on the safe side untill you get a built block with a o ring setup so you can have some real fun. Good luck with your build.
