Guys,
This morning when i took my evo out for a spin, i noticed something very odd about it. I was cruising in fifth gear at 55-60 mph then i gunned it and the rpms get up to 3500 and drops back down to 3000 and then takes off again like normal. I don' know what is causing the problem, in 4th gear it seems to do this around 4000+rpm, but the boost gauge reads just fine so i don't think it has anything to do with the boost. The only thing i can think of is a slipping clutch. any help will be appreciated. Btw, the car has a manual boost control set @ 19-20 psi with no tune.

It normally starts in higher gears and works it way down all the way until it gets to first. You need to get a new one before it starts slipping really badly

 

man, I kind of figure that it was going sooner or later since I have like a few auto-x events and many many drag events with the car. Oh well, maybe if i go to sleep this will be a dream and my clutch will be fine...lol j/k

 

haha, i'd get on the phone tomorrow and get a clutch and try not to drive the evo unless you absolutely have to.
