Stock IX with boost controller??

I searched...but nuthin. Please excuse the newb question.

How much hp should I expect fom installing a manual boost controller? Max gain and peak power. The max I should set it is 21Psi (93oct) right? Thanks.

Not a whole lot. You will be able to hold boost better though.

10 hp peak, but wouldn't it be a greater increase higher in the powerband where the boost taper is eliminated? I mean, if let's say at 5300 rpm the stock pressure tapered down to 17, but the B.C maintained it at 19psi. Wouldn't that amout to around 20 hp gained?

IX's are known to taper moreso than the VIII's thanks to MIVEC, but they still make more power than them. Even with a MBC in place, your going to taper although it will be more gradual than stock.

i would expect more than 10 whp goin to two pound of boost. i would say20 to 25. but no one really know unless someone has a dyno.
