Post EVOM Cam Guru's! Enter here

Ok guys doing a little research and the search button doesnt give the exact answers Im looking for.

Cams Comparison:
HKS 272 (currently installed)
Revolvers
Jun 264's

I know there are some differences in those 3, which will give me better spoolup and mid range, Not looking for top end with my 50trim, looking for early spool up and improved mid range. HKS 264's are out of the question. I know the Revolvers and Jun are going to net more whp on my car, please whoever uses this cams and Buschur's Revolver experience please give me some advice on this.

Thanks for your time

I don't remember seeing a dyno sheet for a Evo with the Jun 264's. On the other hand EVOlutionary posted a thread about going from HKS 280's to Revolvers and increased spoolup, midrange and topend!

And if you decide you want Revolvers....good luck. They are on backorder. It seems to be fruitless to even try contacting them. As they won't call back...

I had a cam thread a week or so ago. Discussing alternatives. There are Tome and Piper cams...which are tempting and their numbers look good, but not many (if any) have run them to compare them against HKS to see if they are any better.

Oh damn, thanks for the info manOfaith.
Let's see what happens, those Revolvers seem to be giving good numbers and amazing torque.

I don't know much about it, other than that you can imrove midrange and spoolup by tinkering with your cam timing. You'll lose a bit of topend, but you'll pickup midrange torque and reduce turbo spool time. The other drawback is that your idle will get rougher. Find out from Gudiel what they set your cams at.

Probably I will, I know it would be fun to see how much torque my car can get or spool up by tinkering again with the cams. Gadiel and Tito sure know their stuff.
