forge wga....

ive searched and read around but still no answers. i installed my forge wga and adjusted the best i could but i noticed that at idle i hear a ratling sound from the exhaust under the car, it was the wastegate flapper..... and its worse (annoying loud) when the engine revs down. now its adjusted tighter and the sound has stopped but now i have the ebc turned all the way down and still hit around 19psi(seems a lil unsafe turned all the way down right?). do i need a lighter spring or does anybody else have any experience with this that can help me out??? thanx

Sounds perfect. Why would you wanna boost any lower. Plus when it gets cold, it might spike to 20-21. 23lbs on 93 is fine.

Well the flapper is obviously rattling because the actuator isn't holding it securely against the turbine housing.

Does the actuator have a nut adjustment too correct this?

The intent of having adjustment is to tighten the turn buckle and add pre-load/tension to the spring inside the unit, thereby increasing boost output.

We build the Evo actuators with a spring rated to the boost levels that most owners typically run. If you're concerned about how high the unit is set to boost, other (lower tension) springs are available upon request to be built into a unit or they're also available individually for $16 each.

Green - 5-10 PSI
Yellow - 9-15 PSI
Blue - 14-18 PSI
Red - 19-24 PSI (this is what is installed in your unit)

Has this WGA helped cure some of your boost taper problem? Thought i might get it for my car as well, wondered how you like the results.
