Front end problem

Ok I get a popping sound from my front end when I turn to the right. I jacked up the car and turned the wheel and couldn't hear anything. It only does it while the car is moving. It also is worse If I hit bumps while turning right. I checked all the bolts to the strut and all the bolts on that side. Any suggestions? Thanks

The two most likely suspects would obviously be a bad strut, and the other one would be a motor mount. On my old dsm, it used to pop alot and after replacing the struts (agx ftw!) I finally found that is my motor mount.

Could be your joint on your control arm that might be loose. My buddy's sti had that problem. That was it.

CV joint or wheel bearing. Most likely on the driver side.

Bad strut or motor mount? Why would there be a popping sound only when turning right if these were the cause?

you sure its not that damn front end clunk that most early evos had, not that yours is early but you never know, just giving an idea. because mine did it also when turning right, it was the spring popping out of place then going back in

mine had that noise, bought some the MR setup from someone on this board, and been noise free since then.
