If you don't value your time and enjoy changing clutches then go for it. I haven't done an evo clutch but have done a few in AWD DSMs and it's not my idea of fun. I'd get something with a good track record.

Hey, you never know -they may actually work, and he would have stumbled onto a solution for the Evo clutch situation (i.e., finding a daily driveable clutch that will withstand the abuse, doesn't lock you out/in gear, and doesn't cost $1500-2000).

Just because it say life time warrenty doesn't mean you're going to keep getting new clutches. If they look at the clutch and it's been abused, you may get the first one or 2 but I don't they'll keep handing out new clutches everytime you bring in an abused clutch. Clutch install on the Evo is a BIG pain in the a**.

thats amazing you can say that i have never installed a clutch in an evo.... Being i have done one in my 03 and one for my friend that has an 05. I suggest you take a step back and who knows maybe look at some of my past post before making such a BS remark..... I was just posting this to see if anyone had been dumb enough to use this clutch yet though i do feel this clutch would perform for your average DD but the issue is 90% of evo's arent your average DD.

Dont do it. Get an ACT for like $500.00 if you want to go the cheap route. I bought a set of duralast brakes and they SUCK! Never again.

BallisticEvo,

Duralast is the Epitomy of remanufacturer parts. I don't think no one on this forum would dare to install duralast clutches on their Evos. At the minimum the stock Mitsubishi OEM would do a heck of a job compared to a Duralast clutch.

I can see putting duralast brake pads or duralast alternator or duralast water radiator hoses but to put a Duralast clutch doesn't go with the Evo.

Labor cost can prove you wrong and the life time warranty clutch offer can turn against you if you have to replace trhe clutch more often than normal.

I simply wouldn't recommend Duralast clutch for a Evo. If I was driving a Ford Scort then yes but not for a Evo.

Carlos
