So my baby has been down for about a month now, i miss getting in my bby evo everyday. so i just put on my BR 37r. started it, it idled for about 2 mins, kinda rough as i checked for oil/coolant leaks. no leaks but an exhaust leak. so turned the car off, tightened everything up, closed the hood to take it for a test rip. i got in and noticed that my alky injection *spray* light was on at idle. i thought maybe it was just a malfunctioning light. but as i gave it a bit of gas to move up the car died, checked all my connections and everything was good, i took out the alky injection fuse and tried to crank it again, it just cranks and doesnt turn over, but occasionaly it'll idle if you give it alotta gas but than just die, and the exhaust smells of pure gas. so i went online and did some research. found a thread about methanol flooding the motor. so i took off my upper ic pipe where it connects to the IC and sure enough methanol came dripping out. took out the spark plugs and the cylinders looked kinda wet. but smoke came out of one of the cylinders when i took out the plug, dunno if thats normal or not. also when i removed the last spark plug it looked brand new, as if it wasnt even fired, i dunno whats going on im so confused. hopefully itll be ok and dried up in the morning. does anyone have any similar experiences? any advice?

1000cc injectors could be the culprit...any changes to your settings?

 

i dont think the stock ecu can handle 1000cc...i think its time to upgrade to aem

 

no no changes to my ecu but a dynoflash for stock inj, alky,20g turbo,hks 264, ams fmic

 

Did you expect to be able to just plug in 1000cc injectors and a BR high flow fuel pump on a tune for 550s and have no issues? You should have major issues. You should not be able to idle or get on the gas at all.

 

buschur told me i should be good for awhile on my stock ecu and 1000cc's, and to go aem when i jump up to 1200+ cc's. im only lookin to get 450 outta my stock block, than get aem w/ my motor build over the winter.

 

but i guess ill swing my ecu over to dynoflash and have him flash it for me, see if i can run it that way for awhile

 

my 785's were too big for my flashed car. It ran rich as hell while idling.
