Well, it's sort of backwards to want a huge turbo but only use 91oct, because that doesn't allow you to run big boost, and big turbos aren't efficient unless they're running a lot of boost. If the boost is too low, then you aren't in the sweet spot. The bigger the turbo, the less torque, the slower the spool, and the less power it will make on low boost. You wanted a high-revving big daddy turbo that can run low 10s, well you got it...but it wasn't meant to be used for daily driving on 91oct. That is my opinion.

Well if you read my sig you would have known but its a precision turbo. Its basically the same as a 35r but its non bb and its ar housings are not the same size. The 35r will put out more peak hp but the power curve is not as good as the sc61. The 35r powercurve is more linear whereas mine is not. ALso this turbo has been proven to put out 400wheel on pump in the dsm world for yrs.

I am suprised the evo world doesnt use it. No one makes a production kit for the sc61 it needs to be fabbed. If you have any other questions let me know

Your opinion is correct unless you are running the sc61. Basically it has a wider range sweet spot. Its sweet from 20-35psi. I got near 400wheel on 22psi and 575 on 30psi.

i made 416 whp on pump gas on TT dyno. gt35r kit with all the supporting mods (stock intake mani, stock TB, 272 hks cams, 3 inc exhaust and dp, rnr intercooler; piping, etc etc) sounds like your power band is 7000+rpm with that turbo so maybe a 9k motor would help but i think it would be a better idea to get a gt35r or one of those new green turbos?

Im going with Warr on this one. I know big shock since it seems like Ive been fighting with him all day haha.

Dude you bought a turbo that wants to see boost. You put all this money into the car, and you cant even put meth on it? You want to tune on CRAP cali 91 octane (I have first hand experience with this sh|t gas trying to tune) and make tons of horsepower? Seriously someone needs to backhand you. Someone posted earlier in another thread "you have to pay to play". Thats so true. Take your happy a$$ to the pump, put at LEAST 2 gallons of 100 every fill up and go back to alfred. Im sure you would be much happier and it would cost you like an extra $4.00 per fill up. That or buy meth. Meth is even easier. Your being gay.

This power was made at 22 psi... and I know that big ball bearing turbos need high boost to breath, but even Alfred thought it was a 3040, and I want to run pump only because what happens when you run out of meth??? I haven't done much research on the kits are there fail safes like if i am in boost and my pump goes.
